The story of photographer Elizabeth 'Lee' Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II. Based partly on Antony Penrose's (her son's) book The Lives of Lee Miller. The film focuses mainly on her later years, as a war photographer.

I saw this yesterday and it needs a warning -- if you need a warning -- about toplessness. Winsket was older making this than Miller was going to Europe in 1944.

The visuals are great, her cigarette smoke glows in the lighting. The film sets up replicas of the more-famous images, which are shown in the credits alongside the originals.

The content is distressing but not glamourised or mawkish as Winslet's and Andy Samberg's characters make their way across Europe to find where missing friends disappeared to.

I commend it to you for viewing.
