I wanted to love this one but didn't. The CGI is pretty ropy (it's from 1996) and I didn't love the ending; also I kept getting distracted thinking that the film disturbed me in ways which Dario Argento probably didn't intend it to; I just couldn't imagine a good/non-sinister reason to cast your daughter in a film where she's victimized like this. Still, it was interesting enough that I watched it all so I guess it wasn't a complete failure (just not a soaring success like Opera or Suspiria).

I haven't watched this in many years, but I have much more charitable memories of it; I feel like this may be the last great Argento movie, other than the inexplicably slept upon Sleepless of a few years later. I mean, Max von Sydow!!
