Some of AEW's top talent will be joyful AND triumphant tonight, because the top 2 from each of the Continental Classic Leagues are decided tonight to advance to World's End. Meanwhile, a rebooted Toni Storm will have her match against Taya Valkyrie, and all four men vying for the World Championship will share their thoughts.

First gift of the night: TAZ IS BACK!

Brody King started smacking Will Ospreay around so hard I thought some of his elaborate tattoos might pressure-transfer onto Will's flesh. Fortunately, WIll's got so much experience in New Japan that slapping the shit out of him only imbues him with more fighting spirit. Getting Brody up on his shoulders for a Stormbreaker finisher is maybe a personal best for amount of mass moved.

Ricochet is starting to properly dial in his heel work -- he's not a chickenshit, nor is he exactly a cheater. His moveset continues to be full of crowd-popping moments, for example the perfect rotation on his 540 Splash to put Allin through a table. So instead of the suck-up that got rejected by the Hurt Syndicate, he's the cocky arrogant guy. Darby's bravery is actually his undoing, forsaking a perfectly good opportunity to pin by going for another coffin drop, earning a draw that mathematically eliminates him.

Darby gets his payback on Claudio for last week's brass kuncks by leaving them for Komander to score a win, which sets off a nice chain reaction of Claudio losing 3 points and being eliminated, the rest of the Death Riders come out for the castigo, which then lures out Moxley's three challengers to clean house.
