Ancient Aztec ritual fabric sure looks a lot like off-the-shelf synthetic crap circa 1990.

This is Tobe having to play it straight after losing people a bunch of money being Weird Tobe on Invaders from Mars, Lifeforce, and TCM2.

It's fun to think of this as the cable trash ancestor of In Fabric, though.

And Dee Wallace is fun here. And hey: Anthony Perkins.

But this is very bad indeed. "USA Network TV movie original from 1990" is really all the description you need, no matter who made this or is in it.

I watched this for my 2024 Letterboxd Hooptober horror watch this October. I'd agree it's not very good but I would be lying if I didn't enjoy it a bit. Tobe Hooper, imo anyways, is usually a fun director even if it is crap he's directing. But you know I'm not going to ever watch it again and it is too over lit like a soap opera which I find annoying.
