Would anyone else be up for a "Carnivale" First Watch?

It's available streaming on Amazon Prime Instant. If so, I was thinking a schedule of one episode a week.

I'm in, I watched the first couple of episodes when it first started years ago, and have been meaning to watch the whole thing since then.

I'm not going to spoil anything with specifics, but I am pretty sure the show got unexpectedly canceled, ending the series without a real resolution. This isn't to say it can't be very satisfying anyway. Just a warning for people who get rankled by loose ends.

I would like to watch it again, and it would be pretty easy to avoid spoilers since I've forgotten a lot of details. On the other hand, it's only two seasons and was intended to be six, so to say it leaves a whole huge mess of things unresolved is something of an understatement. Worth watching, don't let me put you off - just not entirely sure I'm up for another dose of frustration.

Yeah, it's a great, great show, which you should absolutely watch (and I could be persuaded to watch it again, just not sure I'd be able to keep my mouth shut) - but watch it for the performances, and the atmosphere (my god the show is absolutely oozing with atmosphere all the time) and not because you really want to find out how it all turns out in the end.

The "ending" was so very up in the air! It makes sense now to think of it as unexpectedly cancelled. So many things were just getting started. But it was such a very, very good show! "Oozing with atmosphere" is a great way to describe it!

I have limited opportunities to watch shows, so I'll have to chime in as I can.

I'm going for it. I'll post the first episode on Sunday.

The creator of the show spoke about loosely about the arc of the story, that that left me feeling satisfied. Oddly enough the proposed arc had planned on jumping forward years at a time, so it would be perfectly fine if it were to be continued soon. I also remember reading that there's still long-time HBO employee with Carnivale posters and such in their offices. This is the only show I want to see resurrected more than Firefly.
