An anthology film, it is composed of six standalone shorts united by a common theme of violence and vengeance.

Well-received at Cannes and elsewhere, the film was nominated last year for the Academy Award for best foreign language film. Directed and written by Damián Szifron, produced by Hugo Sigman, Agustín Almodóvar and Pedro Almodóvar.

Saw this movie today and loved every minute - pure adrenaline and fun. Made me realize how much I love the genre of the anthology film.

Interesting bit of trivia: Evidently, after the Germanwings airline crash, a number of theaters added trigger warnings to their advertisements for this, as one of the stories features an intentionally crashed commercial airline.

Saw it two weeks ago at Ebertfest and liked it a lot although (as you'd expect) some of the segments are better than others. The diner and the hit-and-run accident were probably my least favorite but the wedding was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a theater in a long time.

octothorpe! NortonDC and I were at Ebertfest too!!! We should have had a mini-meetup!

This was actually my favorite film of the festival. Everyone should read nothing about it and go see it immediately. Preferably with a really, really big audience. I had a great deal of fun.
