February 13, 2016 1:49 PM - Season 5, Episode 9 - Subscribe

Nick, Hank, and Wu track a ritualistic Wesen serial killer, who may or may not have ties to Black Claw. Trubel, Meisner and Eve give us a glimpse into the workings of Hadrian's Wall. Monroe infiltrates a Black Claw recruiting rally, and Rosalee's past is getting closer by the episode.

"How do you know all this stuff?"

"Homeschooling."

The way they shot that interrogation scene from the victim's perspective was impressively creepy. I'm still wishing we had some kind of explanation for how Meisner actually changed Juliette into Eve, but she was wonderfully alien in that scene.

I love undercover Monroe, but the idea that he could make it through a local Black Claw recruitment meeting without being recognized is a laughable.

Yeah, Monroe's going to be in trouble soon.

I'm tired of Monroe being in danger... he's so nice, it's a bummer.

Eh, I think Monroe's probably more famous by word-of-mouth than by face - like, the Wesen rumor mill has spread the word that there's a Grimm in town and a Blutbad who helps him, but (somehow (ok, maybe it's losing plausibility by the second)) no pics have really circulated. Many Wesen are stil all, "Ohshit, you're the Grimm!" when they encounter Nick for the first time. But yeah, if Monroe woges in the middle of a Black Claw rally, someone's gonna make the connection. (My impression being that a lot of Wesen aren't real good at knowing what kind of Wesen someone else is without them wogeing. Monroe's wolf-like sense of smell gives him an advantage there.)

I think that entire group of Black Claw that was hunting for Monroe by threatening his friend was taken out by Eve, so other chapters probably doesn't know much about him.

I like how Nick got all doe-eyed that Adalind knew all that.

That interrogation scene... man that will fuck anyone up.

"We have funding."

...but not, apparently, for an interior designer or a cook.
