Agent Carter: The Edge of Mystery

Peggy and Sousa propose a trade with Whitney Frost, while the SSR gets help from Howard Stark that may be the key to eliminating Zero Matter.
The reproductive issues seem like a sloppy plot device to tug at emotions... And it worked on me.
I figure it is a pathway to Tony.

Did anyone think THIS was supposed to be the double episode, and it got chopped in half?

Fun episode but the "oh look, Mr. Stark faxed us the plans to a gamma death ray, how handy" plot device was a little eye roll worthy.

I agree with you, but at the same time, I can perfectly picture Howard Stark waking up suddenly with an idea for a gamma death ray that would help Peggy, faxing her cryptic instructions for building one with no preamble/fax cover sheet/explanation whatsoever, and then just assuming he's saved the day with his brilliance and going to fix himself a drink.

Still totally loving the interplay between Samberly and Rose - you can virtually see him thinking, "Hey, the fat chick must be desperate, she'll be impressed by me!", and she's all, "Pfft, son, I got more going on than you can even dream of, and I got shit to do, put a sock in it and get outta my way."

I don't think Samberly thinks Rose is desparate. I think he is genuinely smitten with her, because she's a badass. But he's just an ass, so Rose (like everyone else) doesn't like him.

I was hoping Ana's injury would have clarified things for Jarvis and he would have stayed home with her for the rest of the season, leaving room for Thompson to step up and in. The best thing for Ana is definitely not having her husband charging headlong into danger and I really thought Jarvis was better than that.

Yeah, fair point, brundlefly. Mine was a pretty simplistic take. Maybe more that Samberly thought that when he first met Rose, but now he's more legitimately smitten - but she still doesn't have time for his nonsense.

It was nice to see Rose back, even if she's on nurse duty.
I'm kind of shocked that Peggy was shocked by Jarvis shooting Whitney. All episode he wanted to make sure she paid and his intentions didn't seem very subtle.
Thompson trying to help was nice. It was about time his ethics came into play.
