The Black Tapes Podcast: Episode 204 - Voices Carry

Alex uncovers more connections between the mysterious grimoire and the Order of the Ceonophus, and discovers that there might be more to her insomnia than meets the eye.
Both 203 and 204 ended on a big "oh shit" cliffhanger and I'm not sure if it feels cheap or exciting. Both, maybe? I'm not too demanding.

I really enjoyed this one up until the end, when the omnipresent spooooky music was louder than whatever it was we were supposed to hear.

"ALEX SLEEP NOTE #1" is up. 5:11 of Alex talking about the horror-movie situation she's set herself up in.

I liked Alex's Sleep Note #2. It felt direct and self-aware, and I bought into the "following the blog" feel. It was such a breather that I found myself wondering if I missed something. I even cranked up the audio during the last minute or so of silence to make sure I wasn't missing some creepy chanting or something, heh.

The pacing this season seems, well, Lovecraftian - talk, infodump, talk, OH SHIT THE HORROR - and that's not a good thing. Hopefully they can do a rethink over the break.
