When Ragnar's ship got separated I thought maybe he was going to end up blown off course toward Wessex, and that was how that story was going to get roped back in. But I guess not. So I wonder why even have that "blown off course" bit, other than they had a whole episode to fill and not much to fill it with?

I'm guessing that at the least, Alfred will meet one of Ragnar's sons, kind of a "fateful meeting of future enemies" type of thing, now that he's been packed off to France. Otherwise, the whole point of that is to simply let the king sleep with his son's wife without interference (even managed to send off her art teacher!).

I suppose we'll get Ragnar v. Rollo again, which is disappointing, if historically accurate. I liked it when the brothers were united.

Question, is Floki pulling another double cross again?

One trope I don't like, addiction storylines. They're rarely done well so I'm not looking forward to Ragnar having a major problem, but I do think whats her name is maneuvering to get to Francia so she can make a run for it.

I couldn't much care less for the freaking White Horse subplot. Like, why?

Her name is Yidu, and I want a spinoff with her ! The adventures of Yidu ! I like her a whole lot more than boring queen Aslaug.

I don't know why there would even be a need for Ragnar to conceal whatever he's taking to give him prophetic visions (somehow I don't believe he's chasing the dragon). Doesn't Floki eat psilocybin like cheez-its?

I thought it highly convenient that all the major players' ships just happened to be the ones to find each other first. Yidu is master plotting in style.

>somehow I don't believe he's chasing the dragon

He's not vapourizing it; he's eating it. Very different pharmacokinetics.
