William Bell both is, and is not the enemy.

William Bell is in the box with the cat.

Serious continuity error, if Olivia is in the other universe why isn't Broyles in his snazzy black uniform?

But they obviously hadn't developed the "look" and production design of the other universe yet. This is just a first draft. So I would say no; not a continuity error, just the contrast between the finished version and an early sketch.

Olivia sure is a cornflakes girl. Cornflakes and whiskey, that is.

I could accept the explanation Olivia crossed over into another Universe entirely but a first draft? That's just sloppy.

But anyway back to the show, look: Boston! London! BEN AFFLECK, MASSACHUSETTS!

"Renegade Romulans from the future, here to change the timeline." Which is essentially the plot of season 5. Which means by the end of the series, we realise we've basically been watching 108 episodes of Star Trek fan fiction. Thanks, JJ!

I say that with love.

Then Nina's shooting. I love the end of this episode. A double whammy, taking out the show's father and mother figure in a 1, 2 emotional sucker punch to the audience's inner child. Shocking.

Directly following the empowering passage from the complete document, "Our children are our greatest resource. We must nurture them and protect them. We must prepare them, so they can one day protect us."

Also!

If the Observers are something like humanity's endgame (Observing all of time, time travel, etc.) then technically they'd really appreciate Bell's sentiment and therefore presumably be acting to protect their forefathers by taking Walter.

I liked the Spock reference nicely setting us up for the next episode. And he seemed so eerily on the money, too, until then...
