The kid in Wells was played so well! I also liked "Bad Boy Bobby Moynihan" in the monologue, the Office Christmas Party, and of course Student Theater Showcase. Nativity was obviously a show-ender, and Math was almost pretty good but ultimately underbaked.
I'm not sure where BaldwinTrump is going to go, I'd assume they're going to stop after the inauguration? It would serve to remove SNL as his "Quayle's Murphy Brown."

Candle Regifting wasn't the greatest digital short but I still found it very amusing, I think because of the actresses chewing the scenery so hard.
Paley Center Event cracked my shit up.
Wells for Boys was a little too real as a mom of sensitive boys, I totally did tear up.

Wells for Boys was kind of genius.
I never really thought Student Theatre Showcase should be a recurring sketch but I laughed a few times so I guess they can continue. Maybe not too often though.
The Hunt for Hil was a pretty decent prerecorded segment. Good premise, though she's been seen in the woods, what, twice?
There has yet to be a bad show this season, which is kind of rare. SNL can so often be a disappointment with great episodes much less common than bad episodes but I hope this trend continues.

The Well/Balcony for boys was great.
Jennifer Aniston's surprise guest appearance(s) was... a surprise. Interesting that she didn't show up at the closing scene, to not upstage Emma Stone? Or did she pre-record her scenes?
Otherwise, this episode felt like a reversion-to-mean after a better-than-the-last-few-seasons this season.

"...AND THIS ONE THING IS FOR HIM!" was actually a pretty great moment.
Also, serious kudos to SNL for managing to make that sketch without "punching down" even once.

It should be the cold open every week until he snaps & does something really drastic & stupid. I don't particularly care how well it's done, it's clearly getting under his skin more than anything else in the universe so it needs to happen again & again. I would watch the hell out of an entire episode of just Trump gags.

Good One: A Podcast About Jokes had writers Julio Torres and Jeremy Beiler on today's episode to talk about the "Wells for Boys" sketch.
