There was so much that was good in this episode. Sure, not perfect, but Margo going full-on mastermind was great, and the jab at Mission: Impossible was fun. And, and, and ... I'll stop here.

Not perfect, indeed. When I saw Penny floating I kept yelling at the tv (to my wife's chagrin) "JUST GO SIT ON THE PILE OF GOLD!"

I mean that ain't the floor, am I right?

Stupid plot device. I would rather they dismissed it totally and just went with: Penny teleports in but OH SHAP there's a ward on the floor that traps him and everyone must rush to save him. Simpler and less stupid and yelling-making.

Agreed komara. I was doing the same thing. I also figured maybe then he could just teleport out the whole pallet load.

I have got to stop watching this so late at night, there's a point where it all seems so logical and real, and then I drop off to sleep and can't reconstruct enough to make a coherent argument, yeah no surprise there.

Finally watched this episode - The Magicians has made my list of "do not watch while eating/do not watch last thing before bed" so I kept putting it off until I was in the mood for possible surprise grotesquery, but this was delightful. Nothing like a good heist plot. And the eugenics book joke was a pretty great throwaway.

Quentin keeping Niffen-Alice a secret from everyone is annoying, I get enough of that on The Flash, but I suppose it's not out of character for him.
