Please Like Me is currently more than halfway through the second season, and I have a lot of feelings to share. Especially about Tom. Anyone in? What's the best way to handle it? Rewatch from Season 1? Whole season in one post? End of season 2 summary post? Something else?

Yes, that's it. Featuring Australian comic Josh Thomas (IMDB listing).

And all of Series 2 is currently available to watch for free on iView, although it is geoblocked for those outside Australia.

It's airing in the US on Pivot.

Ha! I remember watching the first series. But between this Josh's appearances on This Week Live, he came across as really smug and annoying. There's also a certain lack of depth of experience.

FWIW, I say go for the whole season in one post.

This show deals well with things that don't often get dealt with at all. I don't know where the smug remark comes from but the recent Fresh Air interview was interesting, as I don't have any idea of him outside the show. The two younger females have been on very different US shows. There's something different and special about this show.

My 2 cents: if you're into it, go ahead and post on it. The fans will turn up and discuss. You might want to cross-promote by doing a MetaFilter front page post related to this show, and then at the end put a pointer to your FanFare discussions (example, example, example). That way you can get more people on board.

If I were you (and I'm not), I would start with a series-wide post, to gather all the comments in one place, since it seems like there may be fewer commenters than on, say, a post on The Strain.

Take your enthusiasm and run with it!

I just watched all of Season Two on iView (Australian site) after hearing about the International Emmy nomination and was delighted with it. Made an earlier attempt to watch but couldn't get into it, I think partly because it seems more drama than comedy and wasn't what I was expecting. Anyway will keep an eye out if anyone else wants to post about it.
