This week, we're celebrating a momentous birthday by full-force launching a Razor Scooter into the hungry mouth of a volcano. We're also talking about how good shrimp scampi is for nearly 55 uninterrupted minutes. While the other bros. shot down "Scampering Scampi", I think "Scampi and Scamper" would work for a name.

The scampi car wash bit destroyed me.

While I was listening to this I decided to look up the origins of shrimp scampi.

I had assumed it was some kind of Olive Garden thing where they just made up a dish to have an excuse to serve shrimp covered in butter sauce.

In reality, tho, "scampi" is a kind of shrimp. Not the name of a sauce or anything.

So basically "shrimp scampi" is just "shrimp shrimp."

What am I doing with my life?

If it makes you feel better, Tevin, after that bit, I ended up looking scampi as well, because, for some reason, I didn't believe Travis that it was a cooking method.

I don't believe Travis that he hasn't microwaved a Pop Tart. In fact his familiarity with microwaving Pop Tarts and too-quick denial makes me suspect he does it regularly.

Travis cursing in the background over chicken scampi not cushioning his retirement might be the funniest Travis moment I've come across.

Yeah, that was shady as hell, and I can't believe his brothers let him off the hook that easily, though they actually might have felt bad for him.

Also, they need to do a Cool Games, Inc. but for fast food restaurants instead of video games.

That's barely different than 90% of their game ideas so I feel like that could happen pretty easily.

I don't think I've ever heated a Poptart in any manner. Just straight out of the package for me.

I doubt Travis hasn't microwaved Pop Tarts, but I don't judge him for it - I'm a Pop Tart microwaver! There are dozens of us! Dozens!

when I was eighteen I microwaved a Pop Tart on top of its wrapper, and it made purple lightning appear in the microwave. The microwave was fine but the Pop Tart tasted like death and ash. Thank you for your time

In the UK, ordering scampi will get you scampi covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried. It's a classic pub meal for some reason, also available in most fish & chip shops. Very tasty.

What do you call the dish we know as "shrimp scampi" then?

"Prawns with garlic and white wine" doesn't really have a "dish name". It's a common dish in Italitan and Spanish restaurants here, abeit with olive oil instead of butter. An Italian restaurant would call it something like Seared King Prawns. Tapas restaurants would just call it Gambas.

I also went down that wikipedia hole of "what even is scampi". It's weirdly fascinating.
