This was so good. They do really well with this dynamic like with the Mayor in their tv show and the scenes in TAZ with Griffin playing this role (as the Moon Base employees, Angus, Lucretia) and the other 3 ganging up on him.

I want them to take this show to talk to actual Justin Timberlake after they're in Trolls 2.

Joel is awesome, and I love his dynamic with the brothers! I had no idea they were represented by CAA. Am I naive? that seems like kind of a big deal to me.

Jesus, how is everything these idiot goofballs do such gold? I giggled through the whole of this and then relistened to the first one again just because.

Joel killed it in this episode.

I'm kind of curious if Justin originally wanted to be in Trolls 2 because his daughter was such a huge, and if she'll still like Trolls when the next movie comes out.

In related news, what is the Big Giant Head logo based on? I thought it was WGBH (Boston public television), but when I did a GIS to confirm I was reminded 'GBH is the weird neon perspective thing. Little help?

Also, the "prestige podcast" format of this kills me.

YES.

This is a really great entry point for satire but few high profile podcasts (I know of) are willing to explore it. Looking forward to seeing this angle develop.

Joel maybe the secret MVP of the McElroy universe.

It's a takeoff of the old '70s/early '80s vintage PBS logo. The "P-head" design was later flipped around and incorporated into the modern "overlapping heads" logo used by PBS today.

Also, the "prestige podcast" format of this kills me.

I do feel like if they pull this off, it will be the happy apotheosis of the "event" podcast model, at least in terms of the podcasts like Missing Richard Simmons where the point of doing the podcast is just to pester specific individuals into giving them attention. The main difference here is that it probably won't involve restraining orders on the boys, and they're 1000x more entertaining than whatever teen Youtuber is getting 1M views for diving into a bathtub full of Skittles or whatever.

Yes! Thank you! That explains why I was thinking about WGBH. Brains are weird.
