I gotta say I love Wendy talking to the funeral director. It's like Breaking Bad's Skyler talking to Bogdan. Ultra-competent woman surprises the narrow-minded old man and pulls the rug out from under him.

Agreed about Wendy's funeral director scene. What is interesting about this show is that it has so many smart characters: Wendy but also Marty, Jonah, Ruth, Rachel, Del, the Snells.... I'm glad it has been renewed for a second series: it has a way to go before it it gets to "Classic series" levels of character and plot development - but it is showing very promising signs.

I know know I am 2.5 years late to this thread, but just wanted to note that I uttered that line too. So hard not to see parallels with Michael Bluthe at times.
