Movie: Ghost Rider
In order to save his dying father, young stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze sells his soul to Mephistopheles and sadly parts from the pure-hearted Roxanne Simpson, the love of his life. Years later, Johnny's path crosses again with Roxanne, now a go-getting reporter, and also with Mephistopheles, who offers to release Johnny's soul if Johnny becomes the fabled, fiery 'Ghost Rider'. You probably know the drill by now (comic book starting sixty years ago, moving media starting in 1978): scientist, gamma rays, anger, hulk out. This is the Ang Lee movie from 2003, starring Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, and Nick Nolte. It is not part of the MCU proper, and sadly, was not a smash. [more inside]
