Young Alex gives away his most prized possession, a signed Michael Jordan rookie card, in an attempt to impress his crush, Nori. Also, mid-life Alex struggles to find the money to take his daughter, Abby, on a glamping trip with her friends, and older Alex tries to make plans for his birthday so he doesn't have to spend it alone. (TV-PG D)

Seeing Big Bro as the Governor was funny and Ed Begley Jr. matches his younger counterpart well. It totally fits his character to go into politics.

The through line with the Michael Jordan card was well done. I still think the degree of difficulty is going to be too much with the three timeline premise, but I like the cast and it's a sweet show so I hope they can pull it off.

I think there are some legs here. I predict the Larroquette portions to start fading into more of a flash-forward role and the engagement battle will be between kid-Alex having problems most of the time and 40-Alex being kinda 50-50 between crises and resolutions. 40-Alex is certainly the nexus for all of the arcs, so we're gonna have to get some achievements WRT his childhood and his stunted career. I'm hopeful!
