Berlin Station: Station to Station
November 2, 2017 5:35 AM - Season 1, Episode 1 - Subscribe
New-CIA-spy-in-town Daniel Miller arrives in Berlin to search for "Thomas Shaw," a whistle blower who has been making life complicated for everyone.
Come for the spy show, stay for the better-than-average production and the super cast including Rhys Ifans, Michelle Forbes, Richard Jenkins, Tamlyn Tomita and Richard Armitage.

So it's my head cannon that when Not Lucas North fell off a roof in Spooks, it was actually a Cia extraction operation. Fakes his death and reapers a few years later in Berlin as Daniel Miller.
That said, i really love this show.

So this is worth watching? I have been waffling on taking it on.

It's more intelligent and fun than most spy thrillers and has a strong cast. First season is mostly excellent and having watched the first two episodes of the second season it looks like they are going to some interesting places there. The visual atmosphere is also appealing.

Depending how you value these things, it's totally worth your time to worth your time. Not 'great television' but definitely terrific. The story is good (certainly good enough) but what really got me hooked was the cast. The characters are interesting enough (except just maybe the, uh, main white guy) to compelling.
The production values are high and Berlin plays an interesting role. it doesn't feel slapped together. I was surprised it wasn't here - though I don't recognize the 'station' it's on so maybe it's harder to watch in the US? I watch it on Netflix over here.

Also, great use of "I am afraid of americans", as the title song.

I watched this on an airplane, which was not ideal, but I'm happy to pick up again with you all.
