It's available in the US on Amazon Prime Video, in the UK on BBC, on Foxtel in Oz, and surely in other territories as well.
The trailer I've seen definitely makes this look more "was it Australian aliens?" than the original film's puzzling, sad mystery. I managed to see the film as a young teenager and still have a crush on Anne Lambert's Miranda.
