I've never been more glad that there were no kids in the picture in my life. I can't imagine what it would have been like to try and extricate myself from my relationships if there were kids involved. I'm sorry to have disappointed my parents, et cetera, ad nauseam, but being able to walk away from the metaphorical burning building has never felt better.

It was an interesting choice to show the flash back with different people portraying the characters.

I was particularly impressed at Young Louie's performance -- it was a flawless impression without being an obvious aping.

I really like the AV Club (Todd VanDerWerff)'s take on the different Janet:

But I think what Louis C.K. is getting at here is something elemental: Young Louie and Louie are part of the same continuum. Young Janet grew up into literally a different person because of what happened. She has changed and evolved. Louie hasn’t. And that’s all the difference.

Side note: Young Louie was played by Conner O'Malley who is a writer for Late Night with Seth Meyer and has the funniest vine account ever that is mostly composed of clips of him yelling at people in Manhattan.

Louis C.K. wrote for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. This guy is literally the young Louie.

Hey Conner O'Malley is also the same guy who did a bunch of Vines last year accosting guys in expensive cars.
