It's the "Nailed It!" holiday special you've been waiting for, with missing ingredients, impossible asks and desserts that look delightfully sad.

  • "Winter Blunderland" - Justin Willman - Winter Holidays
  • "You Mitzvah Spot!" - Sylvia Weinstock - Hanukkah
  • "It's a Family A-fail" - Gemma Stafford - Thanksgiving / Family
  • "Toying Around" - Ron Funches - Toys

  • "Just Do It Yourself!" - Jim Noonan and Kate Berlant - DIY Holiday Crafts

More celebrity guest judges this season and ones I've actually heard of (although I liked the randomness of having the punter from the Los Angeles Rams in the second season). The first two seasons were taped at the same time, so this is the first time we've had contestants who have seen the show before. No more excuses for ignoring the blast chiller or skimping on buttercream.

The DIY episode doesn't work quite as well for me. The format of the show still works and Nicole is a great host, but watching them eat failed baked goods is funnier than half assembled crafts.

One of the cookies in the new years eve episode totally looked like the oh no comic character.

There is no way that some part or parts of Jason Mantzoukas doesn’t end up in a dessert, is there.

We had this on in the background during a party. No one could ignore the guy's rice krispie helicopter. That was hands down the least nailed cookie, ever.

Love Nailed It, we binge-watched the whole Holiday run in one night. It's clear the contestants are well-aware of the format of the show now, we lost it when Lily Orn was fangirling over Jacques Torres in Episode 2.

The DIY episode felt like they were trying to grab some of NBCs "Making It" demo, and I don't think it worked very well. I hope they stick with baking disasters for future series.

I screamed in horror when Jacques was replaced with some other guy. :-(

Of course you need some expert to guide explanations of what's going on, but don't deprive us of Jacques!

My favorite moment after the helicopter cookie was Rob the cameraman being heckled for cracking up mid-filming.

Also, yeah, the DIY episode was not great — I wasn’t a big fan of the crafts or of Fake Jacques (he was fine, just not Jacques).

Yeah you really do need Jacques for this show to work. It was great that one contestant used one of Jacques tips on her Baker's Choice challenge. Also the woman who was recovering from serious brain damage...man that story gave me all the feels.

I was thrilled Sylvia Weinstock came back too. I love her SO MUCH.

So basically aside from the DIY which was a no go from me, I really loved the holiday episodes.

I like Jacques better but understand the need for a crafting expert. But what was with Fake Wes? I can’t imagine his job is baking specific.

I love Wes. When they showed him doing his job in costume laughing....so cute.

They've added a few "Jacques' Snacks" segments in the "Trailers & More" tab. It's Jacques hosting short cooking segments. Maybe it's a backdoor pilot? Maybe he just wanted to show someone actually baking properly?

Nicole also had Wes as a guest on her quite nsfw podcast. They discuss (as she did in an interview as well) how they tape ten hour days and it's a lot of dirty jokes on set. Then Netflix cuts together half an hour of a mostly family friendly show.

Netflix is 100% missing a trick by not having a Nailed It! After Dark version that includes the raunchy jokes. Seems like it wouldn't be that difficult for them to make it clear which was which so as not to have kids accidentally seeing the adult version.

All the episodes had me howling as with the previous seasons except the DIY episode. Ho ho ho! Those were quite some spectacular fails. I also agree that the DIY episode wasn't that great. There wasn't the same amount of chemistry between the judges and the contestents actually had to have some good skills to work though the crafts. I found it quite boring. You could even see Nicole was bored :/

Sylvia Weinstock is also in an episode of "Nailed It! Mexico". It's dubbed in English and the formula still works. I prefer Nicole as the host, but mostly because I can't tell if the Mexican host (Omar Chaparro) is taking it all too seriously or if it just seems that way because of the dubbing.
