The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights, and the early cases of a historic career that lead to her nomination and confirmation as U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice.
Just watched this on a plane ride, and I thought it was great! I really loved the scene where Jane calls the catcallers assholes and RBG stands in the rain amazed and inspired.
I also thought the relationship between the Ginsburgs was lovely- not saccharine and realistic- they accidentally hurt each other, realise, change and grow together. There is a genuine concern, care and love visible in how the actors interact together.
Memorable: when she is asked why she isn't content with teaching and letting the students change the world: "that's what I wanted to do!"
Also she was awesome and after reading about RBG through metafilter it was great to see a movie to learn more about her life.
