Dex faces off against Artie Banks to take down wealthy real estate mogul Randall Tapper. Meanwhile, Detective Cosgrove leads an investigation to find Wallace Kane, a prisoner on the loose.
Can we do a drinking game every time they shoehorn in “stumptown” in dialog, or if someone is wearing a timbers or trailblazers shirt?

It turns out that ex-cop/sleazy P.I. Artie Banks (Donal Logue) has a heart -- and it's not in a glass jar by his bed.
Red mustangs are a convenient outlet for anger management and golf practice -- who knew? Lieutenant Cosgrove (Camryn Manheim) didn't, but Dex's "mix-up" proves oddly satisfying for her as well, given her history with Banks during his days as a fellow LEO.
Sue Lynn Blackbird (Tantoo Cardinal) turns up and waxes philosophical about Dex's future in a penitentiary jumpsuit. Any day with Cardinal as alpha predator is a good day. So many strong women!
And the violent escape of a federal prisoner with ties to Grey and Lieutenant Hoffman (Jake Johnson and Michael Ealy) has them both on edge and scrambling for answers. There will be blood. I am definitely not getting too attached to either of them for a season two.
And Dex gets to beat somebody up. Several somebodies.
When does she go to the gym? Do push ups? Get in a little sparing? I know she is ex-military but that was over a decade ago. The only thing we see her lifting is a beer bottle. Go jog already!
And... Banks gives Dex her credentials towards her P.I. license. "Wait, I didn't do 1,500 hours yet." "Didn't it feel like it?"
