HBO episode summary: Following an audience with Marilyn Manson, Brannox decides to pay a visit to Pius XIII and is confronted with the intensity of his predecessor's followers. Later, Brannox appoints Cardinal Spalletta, with whom he shares a past, to a new role. Voiello prepares for a long war with the defiant Sister Lisette after the nuns go on strike.

Ok, everything with Esther is really grossing me out, and making it hard to enjoy the rest. It doesn't even seem to have anything to do with the rest of the show. It's like, "we now interrupt our regular show to humiliate and degrade this actress."

I’m a couple of eps ahead but I think it was here that I got really fucking tired of the female objectification in the show. It was a little less overt in S1, plus it was balanced out by plenty of Jude Law objectification, but now it’s just horrible and if it doesn’t stop, I will.
