Species II (1998)

An astronaut gets infected with alien DNA during the first mission on Mars and runs amok on earth. Preston and Laura team up with a peaceful, genetically re-engineered Sil to track the monster down. ***WARNING, TOXIC. THIS FILM IS SHOCKINGLY, OVER-THE-TOP MISOGYNISTIC AND RACIST, AND SHOULD ONLY BE HATEWATCHED.***

So you enjoyed the first Species as a b-movie, and here's a Species 2 out on video, so why not spend the $3?

And then there's all the raping, and the women having explosionbirths of little aryan monsterboys. Ugh. And then at the end the world is saved because the Final Form of the monster has such total, absolute racial and genetic purity that if you touch it with the inferior blood of a black man, it literally explodes.

I wish I were making this up. Holy shit. It's almost kind of interesting in how awful it is.

This does not sound like fun.

It really kinda isn't. I posted this mostly as "B-movies fit with social distancing" but also for other folks who've seen it to complain together.

Oh man, I saw this when I came out. I was a teenage boy at the time, definitely the target demographic, and I remember even then being confused as to who this movie was for. Like, who wants to see a movie where the gratuitous nudity is suddenly interrupted by body horror?

*Raises hand.*

*Looks around.*

*Lowers hand again.*

If that's honestly your thing, watch the first one.
