I caught this last summer when it was part of the local PBS station's pledge week. I missed the beginning and had no idea it was directed b Ron Howard. It was really well done but what I remember most was: Holy shit, that's Larry Kane Action News! Beatle cohort. Who knew.

note that when they toured the us in 64 before the civil rights act they made it clear that the southern venues must be integrated

I liked it right up to the point where they said that Sgt. Pepper was a better album than Revolver.
