Lupin III goes on a grand adventure to uncover the secrets of the Bresson Diary, which is tied to the legacy of his famous grandfather.
The iconic "gentleman thief" Lupin III returns in an action-packed, continent-spanning adventure, as Lupin III and his colorful underworld companions race to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Bresson Diary, before it falls into the hands of a dark cabal that will stop at nothing to resurrect the Third Reich.

I read some bad reviews of this but I enjoyed it. It’s nothing revolutionary. If you have enjoyed Lupin III in the past, you will probably enjoy this.

It's no Cagliostro, but then again, what is?
I had a hard time getting past the CG uncanny valley, and the sudden appearance of was jarring.
The best thing about this movie is a little segment they had during the broadcast where they explained the secret of Lupin's jacket color. Apparently he has a different color jacket in each movie, and even different seasons of the series have different colors. Since the characterization also changes by movie/season (for example, slapstick vs. gritty), they claim that you can catch Lupin on TV and know whether you want to keep watching just by the color of the jacket.
I feel a kinship with Lupin because my father and grandfather both have the same name as me, so whenever I have to explain to someone why I have a roman numeral on my passport, I always say, "You know, like Lupin!".

A thorough analysis of Lupin’s jacket colors (reddit comment):
GREEN: serious or white knight
RED (with light blue shirt): fun, lighthearted, goofy
PINK: red jacket up to eleven in terms of goofiness and cartoony slapstick
DARK BLUE (with red tie): shonen-style adventurous
LIGHT BLUE (with pink tie) darker, edgier, grounded, somber
