I had no idea 'Miracle Workers' was renewed until Radcliffe showed up on Late Show. Evidently season 3 (Oregon Trail) is underway.

The second season has nothing to do with the first season aside from some returning actors.

It's still kind of dumb, but differently dumb. It took me until episode 3 (they're only 20 minute runs) to decide that it's probably worth watching the rest of the season. There is just enough clever/ funny to keep with it for me. It's pretty low key.

Buscemi is, again, kind of low energy. Viswanathan keeps bringing it and is arguably the main protag. Radcliffe doesn't upstage anyone, and he's just part of the team but feels like he's being ridden hard. I'm a big fan of Serafinowicz but it feels like he's (so far) phoning it in. Soni is trying hard with what he's given.

Diverse anachronistic background cast, similar to 'The Great,' likewise, quality "period" costumes but lower budget and anachronistic/ fantastical.

Season 3 is kind of a drag but I'm sticking with it because I like all of the actors. I love the first two seasons and season 2 has some stuff in it my wife and I quote regularly.

I normally find Fred Armison grating and I guess truth be told I find him grating in this, but I would pay actual cash money for a full length version of Hoo Hoo Hoo.

my wife and I quote regularly

There are certainly some great lines!

"I'm ready to die! Aaaaah!"

Serafinowicz is picking up, as is the show in general as the season settles down.

I really enjoyed this season a lot. The low-key energy and gentle stakes felt very comfortable and welcome. It's nice to have a show that's not about CRIME for once.

I enjoyed season 3 enough that I was happy it's been renewed for season 4.

Yeah, FWIW I actually enjoyed season 3 more than season 2 (but not as much as season 1). I'm excited to see what they do next season!
