The bug content in this is so high that my family begged me to turn it off ten minutes in.

Bugs as in insects? I’m waffling on whether to see this or not, and bugs would be a plus :)

The bugs were mostly just in the very first part of the movie. I was put out at first too, but I'm glad I stuck through it.

It was very different from what I expected, and better for that. I found it very moving.

I really, really liked this in a way that I didn’t expect to, and spent the last ten minutes or so just sobbing (I’ve been very emotional lately just generally). I googled it recently because I couldn’t remember what streaming service it was on, and saw that a lot of people didn’t seem to like it. I think the marketing ultimately did it a real disservice - I enjoyed spending the first part of the movie wondering “Is this real or all in his head”, but I suspect a lot of folks felt it was a bait and switch. I did notice Amazon has it categorized as science fiction, and I saw a couple critic reviews that basically called it failed sci-fi, so if you went in expecting a movie about an alien bug invasion you’d be disappointed.
