I've watched 4 episodes so far and what I really like about it is that they do go all in on the silly over-the-top JVN stuff but they also make time for serious beats too. And it's all got the undercurrent of sweetness which means it feels...nice to watch it. Each episode is just a really pleasant half hour of TV.

I'd add this show to the lists when people are asking "I really like low-stakes TV like GBBO; what should I watch?"

I watched 2 eps of this today, and thought it was really charming! It's a nice mix between camp & serious discussion. JVN's enthusiasm is just the right amount of over-the-top, and I like how honest it seems when he moves outside of his comfort zone in the bugs episode.

I used to listen to this podcast when it was on Max Fun, and I'm excited to see a TV version of it.

I dunno. He was wayyyy too over-the-top for my taste. There was a lot about the show to pique my interest, but he really drove me away. I kept mentally pleading with him to just please dial it down a notch.
