I really enjoyed the first episode (I've watched the three they've dropped already) but I am primed to like old Hollywood stories and The Godfather is a classic for a reason. Plus the history I know about its making is fascinating, though I'm no expert. Ruddy is one of the Producers on this series, so I guess we're getting some dirt, some facts and some fantasy.

The cast is really wonderful. Michael Tolkin, who wrote The Player, knows behind the camera Hollywood really well - and the opening hour feels a bit Altmanesque.

Loved the quick stop at the Butch & Sundance set, the reverence shown to the Paramount gates - and Matthew Goode's performance as Robert Evans is excellent.

I really am digging this show. Even Burn Gorman is good in this. It's a pretty solid whir through the past, I had to go to IMDB and look up some people. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
