Anyone else (in Canada) watching Book of Negroes on CBC

Lawrence Hill's Book of Negroes has been made into a miniseries on CBC.

I loved the book. And the cast looks excellent:

Aunjanue Ellis, Jane Alexander, Louis Gossett Jr., Cube Gooding Jr. to name a few.

Anyone else planning to watch in Canada, and interested in discussion? Not sure how viewing availability works for those outside Canada.

I want to watch it, but I'd have to watch it on CBC's streaming service because I do not have cable.

I am currently traveling in Europe, and although the trailers are available on the CBC website, the actually episodes are not.

Halfway through part 1. Wow, high production values. Solid cinematography, acting, and costuming. Good going, CBC!

Okay, just watched episode 1, went to post and because it is not on the list of shows I had to submit a suggestion ... decision usually takes 24 hrs.

This is probably good as it will give me time to think!

I was going to post about the show only, but I have ready the book too. Any preference about book + show? The fanfare FAQ indicates this means spoilers can be discussed, so my thought was we could focus on the show, but if folks want to compare to the book up to that point in the novel that would be fair game as it wouldn't reveal spoilers for those who did not read the book.
