While both girls are restless and looking for romance, Shade also hopes to play matchmaker and find a nice guy for her hardworking mother.

Anders is another one of those terrific indie directors from the late 80's/early 90's who Hollywood didn't find a long term place for in features but put to work for decades directing TV movies and TV episodes.

I might post Grace of My Heart later if that's not on FF yet, because it's also great.

Ahhh I love this film! Very underrated, Balk and Skye are excellent.

Fairuza Balk's Shade is so small and precious and I just wanted to protect her at all costs. She doesn't need it, no, but I still felt so protective of her. Also, her wardrobe is awesome. I love her so much.

I didn't see this until earlier this year which is good because if I had seen it when it came out, I would've made it my entire life. I would've been 12, yes, but I was the weird 12-year-old who would've watched this movie.
