Meridian (1990)

Catherine, a burgeoning sculptor, returns to her family's castle in Italy after her father's death and gets caught in the web of a mysterious love triangle involving a magician and a beast.

With the help of Martha, her childhood nanny, and the ghost of a slain young girl, Catherine discovers the medieval curse that threatens their lives and only she can dispel.

Directed and produced by Charles Band, this film stars Sherilyn Fenn and features Full Moon favorite Phil Fondacaro.

The film is basically an excuse to get Sherilyn Fenn in some softcore with Miles Jamieson and a dude in a beast suit. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but don't expect a whole lot from this one. It doesn't even have a sense of humor.

I watched a lot of Full Moon films in the early 90s and this was one of them. 17 year old me thought this one was awesome but middle age me finds it less so. Watching it now it is clear that the pitch was "the Ron Perlman's Beauty and the Beast TV show but cheaper and with T&A" so I guess how you feel about that might determine whether this is worth your while. The Full Moon films I still can stomach are usually just the ones featuring Tim Thomerson, YMMV of course.
