Why wait for the pay-per-view? We're reuniting the Championship right now! CM Punk and Jon Moxley face off tonight -- rescheduled from ALL OUT -- to decide which of them is the true Undisputed AEW World Champion. That plus inter-company trios competition, father-vs.-son, and Jericho vs. Garcia.
Tonight's announced card for the show:
* Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia will come face-to-face
* Ricky Starks will address Powerhouse Hobbs
* Britt Baker vs. KiLynn King
* Billy Gunn vs. Colten Gunn
* World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood vs. Jay Lethal in a non-title singles match
* AEW World Trios Championship Quarterfinal: Death Triangle (AEW All-Atlantic Champion PAC, Rey Fenix, Penta Oscuro) vs. United Empire (NJPW's IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay, NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher). Winners will face The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks) in the semi-finals
* AEW World Champion CM Punk vs. Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for the Undisputed AEW World Title

This is kind of heartbreaking, I'm like, 80% certain this is kayfabe because the foot Punk apparently injured in this match is not even the foot he was kicking with!
I'm 90% certain that it went this way:
Two weeks ago:
Punk: "I'm ready to go. Let's do this."
Khan: "Great! We'll reunify the belts at All Out!"
One week ago:
Punk: "Um... maybe I'm not quite as ready as I thought..."
Khan: "No problem! We'll do it next week to set up an angle for All Out!"
This week:
Punk: "Yeah, so... I don't think I'll be able to go five minutes..."
Khan: "Awesome! Fuck me for All Out!"

I hope AEW can use this to de-emphasize the AEW World Championship and emphasize the Trios Championship. They should pick one of their Big Four each year to emphasize a different division -- men's solo title, women's title, tag team title, trios title. Commit three months out to the main event being that championship match and build the storylines around it. Don't let Kenny Omega's Trios reign into a holding position until Moxley's done clearing out the division. Let him show that the Trios title is just as important, to the point that Moxley has to choose between a World Championship defense and being on the Blackpool Combat Club's team to challenge Kenny and the Bucks, and it's a valid decision.

This is a weird position for me to be in, but when it comes to the world championship I honestly don’t care which of the beloved, great talking, great in-ring performing, former WWE workhorses Tony wants to put the championship on, just make the decision and run with it.
Regarding the women’s championship, I really want it (at this moment, ask me again next week!) to go to Jamie Hayter, just because that allows an opportunity for Britt Baker to reorient her rivalries now that Rosa is injured, plus Hayter needs to occupy the hoss tweener position that Kris Statlander sadly can’t fill right now.
(Also I secretly hope that the Jericho/Danielson match will have Daniel Garcia hanging from the center of the ring so we can redo the “Custody of Dominic” match and give Vickie Guerrero a chance to redeem her missed cue.)

I'm just happy that we'll be able to see more of Jon Moxley's constant war against his own success.

(Hello, this is my first time engaging with one of these Dynamite + Rampage threads before Rampage airs. Is there anything special about how these threads work, like Rampage spoiler etiquette during this between-time?)

I always watch Rampage over the weekend anyway, so it pretty much comes pre-spoiled for me. I'll defer to others as to whether spoilers before actual air times are okay.

I’d rather you held off until the episode airs.
