OMG. One of the best watch and wake on modern mass media.

And a funny, poignant, joyful thing at the end - which was wink-Chekhov-ed earlier.

This is one of the best episodes of television I’ve seen this year or probably in years. Reminded me of the best episodes of Better Things, a huge compliment from me. And it was co-written by Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs, the actress who plays Elora.

Sepinwall has a good interview with Sterlin Harjo that touches a little on this episode.

This season is very good so far.
This was a very realistic wake. Especially the way she learns so much more about her mom and her grandma.

The little scene with the fry bread, then wild onions, then pashofa really reminded me of home.
