May (Brea Grant) spots a man outside the house she shares with her husband. The man appears to be trying to break in. When May, frantic, wakes up her husband Ted (Dhruv Uday Singh), Ted is more irritated by May's panic than concerned about the potential intruder. As he grabs a baseball bat to go fight off the unknown man, Ted tells her this happens every night. Every night, a man breaks into their house and tries to kill them. "This is just how things are," Ted says. May is shaken. She doesn't remember. But Ted is right. The next night, it happens again. And the next night. And the next night.

Written by Brea Grant (12 Hour Shift, Torn Hearts). Directed by Natasha Kermani.

93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Currently streaming in the US on Shudder. Also available for digital rental on multiple outlets. JustWatch listing.

I started watching this with my partner, and she bailed early on because she hates time loop movies. I watched the rest on my own and was blown away by where it went. Unfortunately I don’t think I could get my partner to watch enough to get to that point.

Which is my long way of saying—if you don’t think this is for you, keep watching anyway, you may be surprised.

This is great. Hardly bears discussion of the theme because it's presented so clearly.

God, May's speech in the parking garage is brutal. And then it's echoed again in Ted's.

I've been thinking a lot about the repeated imagery of the broken glass and transparent items in general.

It's also very interesting that whichever weapon May had, the killer would have the same one.
