This is all vibes: the all-in-one-seedy-night vibes of vintage Jarmusch; the druggy dregs on an odyssey style that was a thing in the 80's/90's; and some unexpected sweetness.

This is the performance that casting directors are going to point to as the reason when they all start casting Kate Hudson again. Ed Skrein is also terrific.

Thematically, I am not real sure what it was about, and it doesn't amount to a ton. But the energy, style, and vibes are impeccable.

This had its moments and pretty much the entire cast was great. Ed Skrein and Kate Hudson both seemed like they were having a great time. You're right that it doesn't really go anywhere, though. Just some stuff that happens under a blood moon. I guess it is mostly just playing with expectations, Fuzz being the obvious example.
