I feel like this movie is ripe for a remake because I can see so much potential in the basic premise but wouldn't say they nailed it. Still, it was popular enough that there were a number of sequels....

Steve Miner doesn't get a lot of love or hype, but between this, Friday the 13th Part 2, Friday the 13th, Part III, Warlock, Lake Placid, and Halloween H20, he has a pretty impressive career within the horror genre.

House surprisingly starred three comedy staples of the 80s tv: William Katt (Greatest American Hero), George Wendt (NORM! from Cheers) and Richard Mull (Bull on Night Court). I love this movie.

Bat-winged skeleton swoops out of the dark, grabs hero's shotgun, twirls it on its finger, fires. One of my favorite horror movie images ever.

I love the hell out of this movie.
