Kate (Ruth Wilson) is a benefits claims worker living peacefully on the fringes of society in a sleepy seaside town. But when an ex-con (Tom Burke) flashes her a grin one day, she finds herself increasingly intoxicated with the stranger. Despite pressure from her friends and family to stabilize and maintain her peaceful existence, Kate dives headlong into an overwhelming, shocking romance.
Directed by Harry Wootliff. This is her second feature film, after the critically acclaimed Only You from 2018. The screenplay, co-written by Wootliff and Molly Davies, was based on the 2011 novel True Things about Me by Deborah Kay Davies.
