This was … fine? But it wants to be Prestige TV and there’s just not quite enough this season to fill a whole season with a single case (and to be honest, having someone the caliber of Tatiana Maslany pulling the first season along helped immensely). I’ll watch more if I have max when it comes along, but that’s looking pretty unlikely given they’re doubling down on JK Rowling. I love Matthew Rhys, but this is no The Americans.

I still can't believe we didn't see Sean Astin again.

Yeah, I was surprised they didn’t have some sort of scene with Astin. It felt a little lackluster all in all, and while I appreciated that they didn’t give in to courtroom hysterics and theatrics, I would have liked just a little Perry Mason fire, you know?

But good for Perry for accepting responsibility and for figuring a way out with the judge, and making enough impact to get those photographs and save Hamilton. I do wish they’d not repeated Paul’s “I’m done here” thing and pretense that he won’t work for Perry and Della again. Come on, Paul’s an integral part of the whole place.

I liked the 2nd season better than the 1st but I'm not sure why. Maybe the origin story? Now that I've seen it I'm glad I know it but I enjoyed the focus on the case this season mixed in with the ongoing character development.

Just finished watching the last two episodes tonight. I enjoyed this show a lot and wish there were more episodes. The acting is good across the board, there are lots of great characters and the set design and costumes are excellent.
