I've never been more affected by the death of a minor supporting character. So poignant and real.

Since both final episodes 6 and 7 were released at once last night and I'm not sure I can remember what happened in each I'll comment more in the episode 7 thread.

Oh ok, I can do this spoiler-free. Loved that Sam and Tricia apparently decided to dance around their last intense fight and went back to being sisters for each other. Also loved the way Fred let Sam be in her isolation, and Joel feel the error of his ways, pushing them gently to resolve things before the wedding while also honoring where they each were. Joel's courage, and then heartbreak, and Sam's hurt and honesty in the ice cream scene were both so good.

And that scene where we learn Tricia has run with all of Sam's cunt pillow suggestions, including "big and juicy cunt," which she was so hilariously embarrassed about last week, and turned them into pillows that are selling like mad? Cracked me up.

And then Darlene's death. Was surprised at how much it hit me, and how much I felt for Sam in that moment. Such a great show.

(Btw, a search for "Somebody Somewhere palate cleanser" on Twitter pulls up some very fun posts from folks who needed a break from all the amorality and violence of Succession and Barry.)

You know, when you're shipping pillows, you don't need a giant box with packing peanuts to protect the pillow. A pillow can protect itself just fine. Or maybe that was a metaphor?

I so want a "Live Laugh Cunt" pillow.

That scene in the ice cream store was done so well, as well as Sam's quiet scene all alone in her house, listening to the tape of Darlene and then sitting down at the piano. Just brilliant stuff.

I don't think I've laughed as hard as I did when Joel switched into full-on party rager mode as he was exiting the Growler.
