This felt like they were just moving things around to get them into position later, although I can kind of remember the shape of the crisis and how it's managed, so I'm curious how the show will handle it.

Holy shit, Hari is actually capable of a calm, rational, and reasonable conversation with people.

Maybe it's just Gaal that he treats like shit?

Vault Hari was generated before the Foundation set off, probably at the point when he'd survived Empires trial and the Plan was clear. Knifey Hari was revived only to find Gaal had screwed up his plan and refused to join in on fixing it. It makes sense that one is sanguine and the other is temperamental.

This week, organic computing and a TARDIS are added to the list of sci-fi tributes. The retrieval system looks like the most bonkers transport system since GalaxyQuest.

Did Brother Constant choose her name as a pisstake of Empires Brother Dawn, Day, and Dusk? It seems like it would fit her sense of humour.

I've come to accept this series as a thing unto itself. I don't remember enough about the books anyway...

I've really enjoyed this season thus far. Brother Constant is my favorite character by far.

And then spent like 140 years in solitary confinement in the Most Elaborate Die. Sure, he's got some issues.

I’m kind of thrilled by the fact this episode has a fight scene which provided immediate impact on and insight into the emotional journeys of two characters and is immediately followed by the heroic death of someone sufficiently cool we had just got to know and care about.
