Tribal Policeman Joe Leaphorn investigates the death of a man involved in a mysterious cult, while Jim Chee, moonlighting as a PI, works a case of his own. When the investigations collide, Leaphorn and Chee find themselves in grave danger.

Based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novels, specifically People Of Darkness, the show puts its own twists on the source material. The result is a tightly wound, emotional, and action-packed second season. -AV Club review

I’m planning to post all the episodes as they air, even though I suspect I might be the only person wanting to discuss it. But at this point I’m just such a fan of Zahn McLarnon that I’d happily watch him sit on a stool on a dark stage and read a technical manual or something. I think he’s just one of the best actors working today.

I watched the whole first season, but I feel like it is only during this episode, due to the polyester discussion, that I realized this takes place in the 70s.

I haven't gotten around to this yet, but I wouldn't have known that season 2 was out if you hadn't posted this. I enjoyed the first season and am looking forward to watching and to your upcoming posts. Sometimes it's hard to tell if a full season post or episode by episode is the right call.

I've been enjoying this season so far. I'm also a big fan of Zahn McClarnon, but the first season of this seemed slightly overstuffed to me, with a lot of different plot threads that became a little hard to follow. This season has seemed more focused so far, maybe because it's only based on a single novel instead of two novels.
