I decided a while ago to partition Dynamite's "seasons" to begin the first week of October (since that's the week Dynamite first premiered), and that means tonight is the season finale and this Sunday's WrestleDream is like the bonus content. This week, AEW (and their co-brand partner NJPW) will do their best to whet your appetite for the PPV.
The announced card for Dynamite:
Julia Hart vs. Willow Nightingale

Little Miss Spooky has an appointment with Kris Statlander on Sunday, so this match would be a good opportunity to convince the crowd she can win against an opponent with greater strengthFour-way match: Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Matt Jackson vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Austin Gunn
Each of these men will also be part of the four-way tag match for a future AEW World Tag Team Championship title shotAEW International Championship Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett
Moxley got unexpectedly concussed defending the International title, and so now I await discovering whether Fenix was just holding it long enough to transfer it to anotherWrestleDream contract signing: Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland Christian Cage and Darby Allin will have a sit-down interview with Jim Ross ahead of their 2-out-of-3 falls title match on Sunday
The last time Jim Ross sat down with someone, the Don Callis family broke it up by clobbering HangmanAdam Cole and MJF will discuss defending their ROH World Tag Team titles against The Righteous on Sunday
AKA "How bad did Cole f*** up his leg hopping down off that ramp during Grand Slam?"
Turns out there was also a three-way match booked: Nick Jackson vs. Brian Cage vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Nick wins, and that means he'll be facing Rey Fenix for the International Title next week, after Fenix successfully defended tonight against Jeff Jarret and his traveling carnival show (with a little assistance from Ref Aubrey, who has still had it up to here with Karen Jarrett's shit and has no problem showing it).
Excalibur says it's a rematch from the first year of Dynamite, and how weird would it be for Nick to hold solo gold right now?

We haven't had the full MJF talking segment in a while... both he and Switchblade go on for about 7 minutes longer than they needed... could have had a second women's match tonight!

This four-way match cracking up Taz and Excalibur so hard, they can't even confine it to the FiteTV feed. Back in my day, a Canadian Destroyer would finish a match, meanwhile Orange Cassidy and Penta use it like transitional moves!

Hey! Julia and Willow are the main event tonight (notwithstanding the contract signing)!
I had forgotten that Willow had previously gotten Julia's black mist in her eye last week, as had Kiera Hogan... of course historians will recall that getting misted is what turned Julia evil in the first place.

"Penmanship has not improved" is how the chyron opens the segment, and then it ends with Swerve "signing" the contract in blood, courtesy of Hangman.
every hangman promo: i’m a dogshit bitch. i have mental health. i cry at pixar films. no one likes me. i smell. i’m a loser. and that’s why i have to win this matchposted by The Pluto Gangsta at 7:03 PM on September 27, 2023
