Doom Patrol: Fame Patrol

It's obvious that the show no longer knows what to do with its main cast, who mostly loaf around the house and make jokes like this is some vaguely Gothic version of The Young Ones in superhero drag. Casey and Dorothy are refreshing breaths of clean air in this stale environment, and the screen lights up every time they appear (or maybe that's just my eyes fluttering open). Anyway, there's like five episodes left. It'd be nice to see this show wrap up well. Here's hoping.

Hmm, must be me then, I'm enjoying season 4. The only arc I didn't enjoy on Doom Patrol was the whole sisterhood of DaDa thing from season 3.

I mean, I'm glad it's working for somebody! I feel like the show lost the plot during the pandemic, when apparently production limitations caused issues, and it never got all the way better again. Then again, I could just be dissociating because it's been clear for some time that Doom Patrol would probably not survive the changes to the DCEU.

I agree with you Kittens for Breakfast that the show got thrown off by the pandemic and never fully recovered. I actually stopped watching this season, but now I know it's the last I'll catch up.

Yeah, honestly I think the only bit that really dragged for me was the whole Crazy Jane sequence losing her powers / sense of self / whatever that was that took place in the middle of a bunch of other self-pitying noodling between the rest of the team, but Jane's part of it was the least interesting because Jane can be pretty one-note on her own. Otherwise I've been enjoying it more or less the whole time.
