The first two minutes were just so good. Wonder if we’ll come back around to what caused the melee.

The show that is on TV just before the kidnappers break in is -- I'm pretty sure -- a real, contemporary, twin cities, daytime show. Much like how in the original film we see a bit of "Good Company" with Steve and Sharon Edelmen, a pillar of 1980s twin cities daytime TV.

oh man this was a great opener. kept throwing me curveballs. dying to know everything about dot’s secret past as what, a badass assassin apparently? the juxtaposition of the minnesota accent and midwestern mom mannerisms with ruthless violence is always entertaining to me.

It's nice to watch a decent TV show; it's been awhile.

David Rhysdahl (Temple's char's husband) has real John Linnell from TMBG energy in some of these shots.

Watched this not so long after Ted Lasso and had to do some adjusting Juno Temple wise. What a great opening episode!
