I was waiting for someone in this episode (as I have been, I think, all of my life?) to get stoned in midair. Satisfaction!
The consensus song felt so real! Cringe-inducing, and I'm hoping it returns as a leitmotif.
I think they're doing a nice job of portraying complicated parent-child relationships in ways that both align with the myths and feel representative of reality c. 2023.

As someone who grew up in the woods in New Jersey, I don't know how they could have found a stretch of woods that looked less like the woods of New Jersey.

I am so disappointed that Medusa was just out for vengeance after his mother’s explanation about how she is misunderstood and that not all ugly things are evil. Medusa is not the villain in her story — she’s been poorly treated and a victim of the capricious gods. She and her sisters are chilling on the island they were banished to. All of the statues are warriors who tried to kill them. Then Perseus shows up and, aided by Athena herself, kills her just because he wanted her head as a weapon.
One continuity error: there are Pegasus in the camp before the quest starts, but in mythology they sprang forth from the severed neck of Medusa (as a child of Poseidon).
